My 1st Trike

My 1st trike had no home. It was a store "Demo", & was sold to me, after
the builder went, "Belly-up." It was like owning a Studabaker! Living in
a small town, w/no recumbent dealer, I'd have been better off, with a
Studabaker. Some parts had to be made, at a machine shop, 10 miles away.
But with all the modifications, & repairs, I learned to love that CC.
Having all that to do, probably saved my life. Then, in the lowest time
of my life, divorced, & medical retirement, the trike gave me , a focus,
other than "poor me!" And I learned, about trikes, & about PD, & about
Me. My 1st 2 1/2 yrs, w/PD, I worried about my future,& if I had one.
The last 3 yrs, I learn that worrying, fed my PD. So now, I stay away
from worry, & stress, as best I can, & for that I now take 300mg. of
sinemet, instead of 750mg. pr day, with no visable tremor!
This picture was taken, last year, in San Luis Obispo, near the end of my
1st 500 mile trip. Yes tired, jubilently! It will be fun this year. But,
the feeling that came into my body, as I rode into the Fairgrounds, in
Paso Robles, Ca. I'll never forget! 500 miles in 8 days. I could have
stepped down, onto the top of Mt. Whitney! I will be 58 yrs. old, this
month, & I don't feel a day, over 60. Keep ridin', & keep writin'. I
need all the inspiration, I can get!!
